Day 6: Create miles of smiles 

Scientifically speaking smiling changes your brain and triggers feelings of happiness that even chocolate can’t match. Plus it has no calories and doesn’t lead to feelings of regret… ever! 

Here’s one of our favourite challenges, that can be done no matter how much distance there is between people. Walk with your head high and smile at strangers – make it a big hearty smile – and notice how you feel when you get a smile back.  

People need smiles more than ever – make sure you share yours. They are free – and always will be!  

Even smiling at yourself in the mirror has beneficial effects, you feel happy and relaxed in response to your own smile. 

Post a smiling selfie on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and hashtag it #gratefulinapril. Tag friends and start miles of smiles!
